Psychosocial Evaluations for Immigration Cases
Because your story matters.
Our Purpose
Our mission is to provide affordable and accessible high-quality mental health evaluations to individuals involved in immigration and asylum proceedings.
We are a group of therapists working together to provide affordable, language accessible, mental health evaluations to immigrants and asylum seekers. Our goal is to increase access to mental health evaluations for all people, especially those who face barriers to care. Through For All Counseling, we provide psychosocial evaluations to people who otherwise would not have access to this service.
A psychosocial evaluation is a crucial piece of evidence in immigration and asylum cases. These evaluations may be used as evidence to explain a mental health diagnosis, detail trauma that has been experienced, or discuss potential effects that family separation would have on an individual. Without a psychosocial evaluation, an individual’s story may never be fully heard by the courts.
Many people face barriers to accessing mental health evaluations due to language, location, or cost. For All Counseling aims to break down these barriers through language support, remote services, and subsidized evaluations. Increasing access to mental health evaluations is an important part of ensuring that all people receive due process in our legal system.
What is an immigration evaluation?
An immigration evaluation is a mental health evaluation that focuses not only on an individual’s emotional state but also on factors unique to their immigration case. The evaluation is often a valuable piece of evidence that will be reviewed by the courts when deciding the outcome of an immigration or asylum case.
